KES Equipment Inc. designs and manufactures purpose-built underground mining equipment from our facility in Northern Ontario. Every machine is engineered for the harshest conditions — where reliability isn't optional, it's survival.
From Repair Shop to Manufacturing Powerhouse
KES Equipment started out as a mining equipment repair company. Slowly, the company began to expand into the design and manufacture of their own mining equipment, with a focus on utility vehicles (ex: scissor lifts, boom trucks).
Each vehicle (up to 150hp) has a front end that is unique to KES Equipment, found in all models for easy end-user maintenance and built to handle any mining environment. Over the years KES Equipment has entered the portable bridge market, specializing in pre-engineered beam bridges ideal for logging applications. Our bridges have been designed for quick installation and to keep quality and cost at its best.
We work on a per client basis to provide mining equipment customized for them. KES Equipment is always looking for new ideas and is willing to take on custom manufacturing jobs given the opportunity. We look forward to working with you!

Founder & Principal Engineer
Kenn is a Professional Mechanical Engineer licensed in Ontario and a certified Welding Supervisor. He has been operating the company for over 10 years in Elliot Lake with a background as a Mechanical EIT at Tetra Tech/Wardrop and extensive heavy-duty mechanics expertise.
Kenn is KES Equipment, and he'll be happy to provide you with all your underground mining equipment or portable bridge needs. His rare combination of engineering rigour and hands-on shop floor experience goes into every machine that bears the KES name.
